ProChile’s event in Bogotá ended with more than US$14.5 million in projected business from 250 meetings between 32 Chilean exporters and 61 buyers from nine countries.

The amount was within ProChile’s pre-event estimate of US$10 million to US$20 million. It does not represent completed sales. Ignacio Fernández, Director General of ProChile, said relationships started at these meetings can take six months to a year to materialize.

The timing is relevant. Chilean exports to Colombia, excluding copper and lithium, reached US$735 million between January and July 2026, up 11.6% from the same period last year. Services were the largest category at US$204 million.

The program also included sector-specific technical visits and two cooperation agreements involving the forestry and aquaculture industries in Chile and Colombia.
