Peru online sales reached $19.3 billion in the first half, up 50.4%
Online sales in Peru reached $19.3 billion in the first half of 2026, 50.4% more than a year earlier, according to CAPECE. Retail was only $5.8 billion of that total. Digital goods and services, and tourism, make up the rest.
Online sales in Peru reached $19.3 billion in the first half of 2026, 50.4% more than a year earlier, according to the Peruvian e-commerce chamber (CAPECE).
Digital goods and services made up 44.8% of the total ($8.7 billion), retail 30.2% ($5.8 billion) and tourism 25% ($4.8 billion). The fastest-growing categories were games and betting (+159%), video games (+110%) and land transport tickets (+105%).
Helmut Cáceda Salazar, president of the Cámara Peruana de Comercio Electrónico, said a large part of the growth comes from categories linked to more frequent and recurring purchases and payments.
The $19.3 billion is not the same as online retail sales. CAPECE's retail segment is the $5.8 billion, less than a third of the total.
Digital wallets accounted for 37.6% of the value, debit cards 32.4% and credit cards 27.9%.
