In brief

Mexico attracted more than $5.85 billion in industrial and logistics investment between early June and July 21, 2026, $4.6 billion of it from Mercado Libre. Most of the other projects come from suppliers, not consumer brands, and long-term value may be shifting toward them.

$147MClarios logistics center in Coahuila

Mexico attracted more than 5.85 billion dollars in industrial and logistics investment between early June and 21 July. Mercado Libre accounts for 4.6 billion of that.

In that list, Inventec is putting 450 million into Chihuahua, LS Cable & System 200 million into Querétaro, Clarios opened a 147 million dollar logistics center in Coahuila, BorgWarner is adding 49 million in San Luis Potosí, and Döhler Group opened a plant in the State of Mexico with production technology it does not run at any other site in the world.

Most are not consumer brands, but suppliers of the components, cables, batteries, and ingredients behind finished products.

In Latin America, the strongest long-term value may be shifting toward the companies that reliably supply the brands everyone knows.
