Mexico has 6 of Latin America's 10 largest venture rounds
Mexico accounts for 6 of the 10 largest venture rounds in Latin America over the past twelve months, according to Cuantico VP, Brazil 3 and Argentina 1. Fintech represents most of the companies. Capital looks increasingly concentrated in larger rounds and in a few countries.
Cuantico VP published its ranking of the 10 largest venture rounds in Latin America over the past twelve months. Mexico accounts for 6 of them, Brazil 3 and Argentina 1.
The 10 largest venture rounds, by country
Colombia, Chile and Peru do not appear on the list. Every Mexican round is above 150 million dollars, and fintech represents most of the companies included.
Another number in the report caught my attention. The median pre-money valuation for a Series A in the region increased from 30 million dollars in 2025 to 150 million in 2026, while the total number of rounds declined slightly.
At least at the top end of the market, capital looks increasingly concentrated in larger rounds and in a small number of countries. For companies selling to venture-backed businesses in Latin America, that concentration is worth factoring into account coverage and territory planning.
